International Sportsmen’s Expo

Semper Flies Foundation attended The International Sportsmen’s Expo at Cal Expo, Sacramento CA. It was a huge success! We got to network with many companies in the fishing industry and share our mission with them. Most importantly, we had many Veterans come through the booth that needed to hug it out and have someone listen to them. In some cases, we are now working with them to get the treatment they need and deserve.
The Fall Festival South Lake Tahoe

Semper Flies Foundation was raising awareness for Veterans that battle PTSD & TBI at The Fall Festival in Meyers, CA. (South Lake Tahoe). It was so much fun! We provided a game for the kids, Pumpkin Bowling! Such a great opportunity to engage with our local community.

We were able to engage with our local community and watch a bunch of talented riders get gnarly with their bikes! Mara & I met Josh Bender. We spoke at length about the similarities of brain injuries between his chosen profession and Veterans. Great day, awesome people!

NDVS Suicide Awareness Event

The Nevada Department of Veterans Services hosted a Suicide Awareness Event; Color Run. And, Semper Flies Foundation was excited to have a booth there. It was such a great opportunity to engage with the community of Reno, NV. and discuss one of the most catastrophic topics plaguing our Veteran Community.

It was an honor to support The CVMA (Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association). These Warriors had a Poker Run and after party. Semper Flies was on hand raising awareness for Veterans that battle PTSD & TBI. I was able to spend time with my Brother, Jason, and his girlfriend, Mellisa. Jason and I were Scout Snipers together in 3/4 STA Platoon, USMC, back in the mid 90’s. Mara Mureddu came out to volunteer on this day. Thanks, Mara!

The Fishing Trip
